TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
